What sets this Balerion bust apart from a classic dragon figure is above all its appearance of a bronze sculpture patinated by time.
Each piece is 3D printed in resin, then hand-painted in my workshop. To achieve this particular finish, I use paint containing real metallic particles, combined with an oxidizing agent that causes the appearance of verdigris.
This process allows the reproduction of the characteristic nuances of ancient bronze: warm metallic reflections, darkened hollows, and traces of oxidation in green and turquoise tones.
The patina highlights the dragon's contours, from its scales to the many irregularities of its horns, while giving it the appearance of an object that has traversed centuries.
The result is reminiscent of the sculptures and artifacts that could be discovered in an ancient fortress, a forgotten library, or a king's treasure.
Each bust has its own patina. The manual application of paint and the oxidation process can lead to slight variations in hues and the distribution of verdigris. These differences are part of the artisanal character of each creation.
